Project Overview
Orbit began with a bold vision: to redefine the table not as a static surface, but as an experience centered around structure, assembly, and interaction. The goal was to create a modular side table that could be stored within its own carry case, compact, mobile, and designed to spark playful engagement.

Research & Ideation
Initial exploration focused on how furniture could invite participation rather than passive use. We studied user behaviors around setup and portability, identifying opportunities to make assembly intuitive and enjoyable. Drawing inspiration from toys, rituals, and collaborative activities, we aimed to design a product that encouraged creativity and connection.

Design & Development
Orbit’s form emerged through a blend of organic curves and bold, approachable geometry. Each component, from the modular legs to the fold-out case-top, was crafted to balance functionality with delight. The design prioritized adaptability, allowing the table to fit seamlessly into diverse environments while transforming setup into a moment of shared ritual.

Finalization & Testing
User testing revealed Orbit’s unique personality: playful, engaging, and even puzzling in a way that invited curiosity. Participants enjoyed not just using the table, but assembling it, carrying it, and experimenting with its form. These interactions confirmed that Orbit was more than furniture; it was a catalyst for stories, laughter, and togetherness.

Presentation & Impact
Orbit now lives as both a functional object and a social tool. It adapts to parks, homes, studios, and gatherings, embedding itself into everyday life. More than a table, Orbit is a statement: that design can elevate the ordinary into something memorable, meaningful, and joyfully interactive.
