This project focused on developing a non-invasive tool to prevent cervical cancer by stopping the progression of HPV into cancerous cells.
Research & Ideation
The project began with research into cervical cancer prevention, emphasizing early detection and treatment. The PapioCap was created to deliver localized heat, targeting HPV-infected cells before they become cancerous. Key challenges included designing a comfortable, easy-to-use device for vaginal insertion.
Concept Realization
The PapioCap features a soft, flexible design with a thermal sensor-controlled heating element. It provides safe, controlled heat to treat early HPV infections, ensuring comfort and ease of use.
Finalization & Presentation
The final device is discreet, user-friendly, and effective, offering a practical solution for HPV treatment. This project emphasized the importance of designing for comfort and functionality in sensitive health applications.
